When my doctor changed my medications, it was confusing because I have them laid out in a med box. Spirit of Aloha showed me an easier system and ensured the old medication was removed. I’m glad they come to visit me every month.

Shari came and made my kitchen more efficient as my COPD has gotten worse. Now I’m able to use my kitchen without getting out ot breath. The changes made were amazing. She also adjusted and repositioned my shower chair so I feel more stable.

I want to thank Dean for researching a cardiologist in my insurance network. I really felt comfortable with the doctor and confident he was the best specialist in the area for me.
— Peggy M. (Age 86)
Garden Grove, CA
I can finally get into the shower tub without fear of falling. The landlord said they wouldn’t allow grab bars to be installed and my shower chair was too big to fit. But Spirit of Aloha found a way!

Shari Panganiban, Founder
Hi, I’m Shari Panganiban, founder and owner of Spirit of Aloha Solutions.
Mahalo (thank you) for considering us.
Why Spirit of Aloha Solutions is Here
The Spirit of Aloha is something I learned from visiting my grandparents in Hawaii. In Hawaiian culture, the elderly are highly esteemed for their wisdom and people of all ages hold them in high regard. This has left a strong impression on me and led me to the concept of Spirit of Aloha Solutions.
I’ve always been passionate about being an advocate for others, whether personally or professionally, especially with the elderly population.
While working in the long-term health care industry, I’ve encountered numerous accounts of frustration, helplessness and the challenges faced by individuals and families. I’ve witnessed the shortcomings of our system and the injuries or events that could be prevented but are often overlooked, leading to decline and despair. I advocate for you and your loved one with the Spirit of Aloha.
Background
I earned my undergraduate degree in Bio / Chemistry from Cal State University Fullerton with an emphasis on research and development. Later, I earned an Occupational Therapy degree from Loma Linda University, specializing in geriatrics.
Over the past 25 years, I’ve been an administrator in facilities serving the developmentally disabled population. My role involves developing programs to enhance independence and improve quality of life for our patients. I also provide case management to the individuals under our care to help them attain their goal of independence.
Our Philosophy
The “Spirit of Aloha” is a welcoming philosophy that originated in Hawaii. It’s more than just a greeting; it encompasses a mutual regard and affection for others, showing warmth, caring and recognition that each person is important to our collective existence.
It embodies a way of life that emphasizes kindness, compassion and harmony. Our goal is to provide peace of mind, knowing you or your loved one is being checked on and all their needs are managed.
Our Loving Team
We’re a team guided by health care professionals with over 50 years of combined experience, specializing in geriatrics and the intellectually and developmentally disabled.
We set up home programs to increase and maintain independence, train caregivers and oversee overall care.
We treat each case as we would our own family and evaluate your needs through the “lens” of a therapist.

At Spirit of Aloha Solutions, we’re committed to providing high-quality senior citizen services that promote independence, dignity and quality of life.
We understand the challenges that come with aging and are dedicated to helping clients navigate them with ease. Our mission is to help you/families manage everyday living systems. What area do you serve?
We serve Orange County, CA.
Why is there an assessment fee?
We want to ensure we have a baseline and are clear on your strengths and weaknesses. We can then come up with a realistic and personalized care plan to meet your needs.
Is the assessment fee only a one-time fee?
Yes, after we know your baseline and get to know you better, we can easily adjust your plan as we informally assess your status at every visit. Therefore we do not charge for another assessment fee unless there has been a major change of condition ie. Medical event, extended hospitalization, new diagnosis, etc.
Are there any surprise charges?
There shouldn’t be any surprise charges. We work with integrity and transparency. If we feel there’s a change needed, we’ll communicate with you and get your approval before doing anything outside of your original plan.
What if we want to change the plan? Is there an additional cost?
No, we’re flexible and can change the plan of care according to your needs. Just let us know what your priorities and goals are.
Is there a minimum number of hours required?
We have a two-hour minimum for each visit. However, if there’s an out of the ordinary service required, such as a medical procedure, medical appointment or ER visit that may take longer, we charge accordingly.
How often are visits?
Visits can be as few or as many as you want or per recommendation from the initial assessment.
Does insurance pay for this service?
No, we do not bill insurance for our services.
What is the process? What can I expect?
We start with your FREE 30 minute consultation to determine if this is a good fit for your needs.
Once established, we’ll then conduct a needs assessment to develop a personalized care plan. A service agreement will be drafted outlining services, frequency of services, payment, etc. We treat this as a living document and not a locked-in contract.
